Let things play out.

You cannot learn someone's investment process. It pays to be different.

Today I want to briefly summarize a few takeaways I’ve had from conversations with different PMs.

As we spend the next few weeks learning more frameworks and concepts and hearing from successful investors, it’s important to know that you can absolutely pick up aspects of an investment process, or even a large part it, from your PM. You can borrow frameworks and approaches. But eventually it has to become your own.

A reminder that we are hosting a live session tomorrow with Cameron Khajavi, a former star Citadel and Point72 PM (read more here). You can still RSVP.

Whether you’re choosing a PM to work for, trying to become a PM or improve as a PM, you can’t just learn someone’s process because there is a big intangible, internal element to it.
